Horizon DIY Fuel Cell Science Kit
Horizon DIY Fuel Cell Science Kit
- Ages: 12+
- Other Documents: Datasheet
What can you do with the DIY Fuel Cell Science Kit from Horizon? Whatever you can dream up. Everything you need to split water and use its hydrogen to generate electricity is included. What that electricity powers is up to you. Use the included activity guide or come up with your own ideas. Students are tasked with designing and fabricating a car that is powered by H2. First, they will sketch out their ideas on paper in order to help them come up with a plan of how they want to design their vehicle. Next, they will need to source materials that are strong enough to hold the components of the fuelcell system, but light enough to allow the car to travel as far as possible. Finally, they will build their prototype and test it!
